How Can You Make Peace With Someone Who Died Already?

6

Dealing with a death of a parent can never be easy but processing the mixed emotions and conflicting perceptions is much harder for some people. When a parent’s death is the punctuation point on a lifelong abusive or distant relationship, the so-called five stages of grief can feel more like the nine circles of hell.

  • At the cemetery, friends and family are trying to console John with: “I’m sorry for your loss” – but he’s silently shouting “Good riddance!”
  • As Brenda cares for her mother as she goes through chemo and radiation, living under her mother’s roof for the first time in 40 years, she’s extremely conflicted. She resents the huge responsibility and even hopes her mother will pass quickly. This sends Brenda spiraling down into guilt – “How can you possibly be looking forward to your mother’s death? What kind of selfish narcissist are you, anyway?”
  • When Marcie’s father finally passed away, her predominant emotion was one of relief. She felt a newfound sense of freedom, blissfully released from something that had felt subliminally oppressive all of her life. “Liberated at last!” was her overriding sensation.

If you identify with any of these three true-life scenarios, you are certainly not as alone (and despicable) as you might feel. If you experienced a distant, dysfunctional, or abusive relationship with your parent, death often brings up painful memories, unresolved anger, guilt, longing, sadness, confusion, regret, relief — and shame over that relief. Sometimes all in the same hour!

Working through the cyclone of emotions

The first thing to do is to turn off those self-abusive voices in your head guilting and shaming you for whatever you might be feeling. This is the time to learn how to be your own best advocate – your own nurturing parent, if you prefer – and carve your unique path to reconciliation and closure.

You might need a confrontational, anger-venting method, a creatively expressive technique, a forgiveness ceremony, or all of the above and more as you trudge your way through. Expect your healing to be fluid and ever-changing. Allow your process to be uniquely yours and perfect just the way it shows up for you. There truly is no right way to do this, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

“Closure” doesn’t mean shoving your pain and confusion into a box with a neatly tied bow on top. True closure means coming to a place of acceptance, wholeness, and better-than-okayness despite what you’ve been through. Some people even reach an elevated spiritual perspective that allows them to view the whole Earth drama as being exactly what they needed to evolve. Others reach a deep appreciation for themselves for choosing the exact parents they were born to.

Here are some suggestions we’ve found to be of invaluable help when you’re dealing with the death of a difficult parent and trying to sort through unfinished business and ambivalent feelings.

1) Journal your feelings

Pouring out your pain and regrets, or your rage and fury, into a private journal using a pen can be both cathartic and revealing. Don’t hold back, don’t censor, and don’t judge. Let the writing take you where it wants to go. Capture every dark thought and ugly feeling and put it down in black and white. This helps take a lot of the energetic charge off of your strong emotions, allows you to experience release, and often gifts you with crystal clarity during “ah ha!” moments of realization.

If writing is challenging for you, make an audiotape. Speak or shout your feelings into a microphone. If you’re musical, write a song. Paint, collage, mosaic, sew, create pottery, or plant a flower garden with the sole intention of channeling your feelings into something beautiful.

2) Practice automatic writing

Try to initiate a soul-to-soul correspondence with your deceased parent. If you’ve always believed the veils between worlds are thin, this is a great time to try your “hand” at automatic writing. Or typing. Use your computer if you prefer. Say what you need to say, and then ask questions. Leave space and silence for messages to come through. Intend to receive a response.

3) Begin a blog

Sometimes it helps to have an audience to witness your words and emotions, even if you can’t see their faces. No need to put your name on it if you don’t care to. Write anonymously. Share your wounds, your rage, and your wit. Invite readers to comment and share their own parental death stories. You might even find yourself at the centre of a thriving community of like-minded others.

4) Talk to people

If you feel too vulnerable sharing your personal material with friends and family, seek out community resources. Mental health associations, hospice facilities, and suicide hotlines all have easy access to grief counselors. Be candid about your ambivalence over losing your parent. Your situation is complicated, and you need someone totally impartial and experienced to witness your process without passing judgment.

5) Create meaningful ritual

You can use a ritual to communicate something to your parent, or as a way to signify something important to your subconscious. Perhaps it’s how you totally let go of the difficult emotions, or say a final “goodbye”.

Create a sacred, safe space that has deep meaning for you. If you need to channel energy through sound and movement — drum, dance, sing, stomp, chant, or scream. Burn a letter, release a balloon, bury a photo in the earth, or hike to the highest mountain peak in your area to signify your personal resurrection.

6) Consult divination tools

Seek answers from rune stones, tealeaves, or a crystal ball. All of these tools help you access your own inner Guidance. Avail yourself of the support of a professional psychic reader who’s well versed in these areas. Receiving help from a compassionate, gifted intuitive reader can be just the nurturing balm you need to soothe your soul and restore you to balance.

7) Seek oracular wisdom

Treat yourself to a tarot reading with a professional, or create a powerful ritual using your own deck. Choose a multi-card spread that reflects past influences, present forces, and future potentialities. Strive to access a broad overview on your situation.

See if you can get to a place of impartiality and higher awareness about the karmic forces at work in your difficult relationship. Try to ascertain what gifts your parental contract has given you in this lifetime, and get a sense of what new adventures might be just around the corner for you. If you entrust a truly gifted intuitive Tarot reader with this important task, you will be delighted by the numinous power these cards of revelation carry.

8) Consult a psychic medium

Many psychic mediums specialize in communicating with deceased spirits, helping them to interact with those still left in the physical world. We know that death is not the end of the spirit, and oftentimes a parent will say the very things you’ve longed to hear all of your life. It’s a great way to achieve further understanding and re-open a dialogue, dealing with unfinished business and gaining clarity.

Lastly, when seeking “closure”, you’ll probably find yourself dancing around the “f” word. “Forgiveness”. Yes, you might need to forgive your parent at some point. But that is not the same thing as absolving them of guilt or condoning anything hurtful. Forgiveness is actually you saying that you’re putting down the pain now — for you. You’re choosing to set yourself free so that you can continue to actualize your Divine Purpose and Soul Plan for this very precious lifetime.

Gaining Your Better Self by Psychic Channeling

About Channeling

Channeling is simply making yourself open and receptive to the energies around us and letting them move freely through you. This is a way for the spirit world to engage in non-verbal communication with humans. It can also help you become more in tune with your own consciousness.

You can discover more about nature and yourself through channeling by seeing your own life from a different point of view. Channeling can also help you access the information to help you grow spiritually. It can help you connect  your intuition and to your spirit guide.

The Ways to Channel

Psychic healing, seances and automatic writing are all forms of channeling. Even the harmless, mass marketed Ouija board is a way to channel.  Channelers use meditation to close out the conscious world.  Each channeler mediates  and communicates in in a different way.  Some channeling is conscious, which means the channeler is fully aware of what is going on.  Through clairvoyance, images are the main source of communication. Clairaudience means the channeler hears sounds or voices. In clairsentience, a spirit presences is sensed.  Physical channeling is done thought a deep trance.

The most famous channeler, Edgar Cacyce could only communicate with the spirit world when he was in a deep trance.

The Purpose of Channeling

Channeling is used to bring about a higher level of personal growth.  People who use channeling can achiever greater personal development and become happier as they become more clear about their choices and their life path.

Why should you channel?

Channeling can bring about clarity.  We live in a complicated time and it’s hard to understand our own life path.  Channelling can give us a connection to the spirit world to get perspective on our lives.  Channeling can give us answers from inside our selves.

Light up Your Life with Spirit Guides

5

Everyone who inhabits this world has a spirit guide. Some believe that these helpers are assigned to us at birth.  Spirit guides are part of our unconscious

the help guide us to complete our life journeys.  Spirit guides can also be viewed as a part of ourselves that are revealed in many different forms and shapes.

However you, personally, view spirit guides, it is true that every one of us needs a little extra help and guidance in our lives.  Spirit guides are part of our shared human experience.  They guide us to greater clarity, joy, freedom and peace.  There are several different types of spirit guides.

Seven  Types of Spirit Guides

Spirit guides can come in many forms.  A spirit guide could be as simple a puff of air or could be a fully formed being that is the result of a spiritual journey.  Since there are so many kinds of spirit guides, here is a list of seven basic types.

  1. Trans species (half man half beast)

The half/human  half/animal is a common type of spirit guide. Examples of these are centaurs, harps, fauns and other trans-species.  Some spirit guides are also forms of deities such as Anubis (Egyption god) Ganesha (Indian god)   Your spirit guide may reach out to you when you need them and they may take on one of these forms.

  1. Animals/Totems

The most well-known spirit guides are animals. This type of spirit guide is very popular, mostly because they are accessible in our daily lives.   Ancient cultures used animals to represent their tribes and line of family. Today animals represent our own wants and needs.

  1. Light Beings

Light beings are also known as guardian angels.  Many see their guardian angel as a spirit guide.  This type of spirit guide is used to help people through particularly traumatic situations like grief and loss.  This type of guide is called a light being because they appear as bright or glowing.

  1. Ancestors

Some spirit guides are attached to us by a connection to our families or ethnic background.  This type of guide can be someone you have lost recently or even someone related to you that died centuries ago.  You may feel that you have an unnamed connection to this spirit guide, but know that they are reaching out to you for a reason.

  1. Plants

Because our world is filled with living energy, plants are also a source of spiritual  support.  This is seen in the use of herbs and teas to help us relax, focus or even reach a higher plane of understanding.

  1. Gods and Goddesses

Throughout the history of the civilized world, gods and goddesses have been worship and feared. There are different deities in every culture and religion. These gods may also serve as spirit guides.

  1. Ascended Masters

This type of spirit guide is unique because they are beings who used to reside on earth but fulfilled their spiritual journey and have moved past this world and have achieved an enlightened status.  Examples of these beings are  found in many different religions.

Just as human beings are varied and diverse so are the spirit guides.  As you move through your life journey you many have different spirit guides. You may need support for different things in you life.  Just know that no matter what your journey brings you in challenge, you can connect with spirit to help you.

Tied Up In A Life Ties Or A Soul Mate?

5

Do you have past life connections with some of the people you know? You cared for? There are a gazillion people in the world but have you ever felt connected with those who passed away? or maybe feel some connections from those you’ve never met? sounds weird right? There are the obvious connections in your everyday life. Your family and friends, co-workers – those who are close to you. But is it possible to have connections with people you’ve never met? It is very possible. If you are aware of the principles of karma and the reincarnation cycle, then you know that your current life as well as your past lives have intersected with a variety of people.

When you die, your astral and causal body goes forth into your next lifetime, making connections with various other causal bodies along the way. It is these connections that can have an influence on your current life as well as your future lives.
There are two types of connections that you can make in your lives.

Life Ties

Life Ties are connections that you make with people throughout your life. They could be friends, family or even a stranger. You can make connections with these people in either a negative or positive way. These connections will have a respectively-characteristic impact on your current life. Life ties are like an imprint, a shoe print if you will, on your continuing life path.

Soul Mates

Soul Mates are those who are not only leaving an imprint on your life path, but are taking that path with you. You are connected with them deeply. Although most assume a soul mate is someone who you have a romantic relationship with, this isn’t necessarily true. A soul mate is simply someone who is open to your soul, whether it be friend, family member, or lover. It is quite possible to have more than one soul mate, so there is no need to fear that since it’s already happened, it will never happen again.

The reincarnation cycle allows for multiple life ties and soul mates to occur. It is important to embrace these connections and learn from them. This is what will help you to advance along on your continuing path.

Why connect with your past lives through past life regression and/or past life readings?

Past life readings allow you to understand fully what has come before. And by understanding this, you can understand how to open your soul and appropriately direct your current life. This will allow you to become more contented with your life.  Examination of your soul as well as the rest of your being serves to make your present and future lives more enriching. It also allows you to be able to connect with life ties and soul mates. Your life ties and soul mates may be different in this life then they were in the past, but you can recognize the aspects of their essences that drew you to them in the first place.

Cherish your past lives and all they have to offer your current and future lives.

A Way For All Types Of Ghosts To Leave You

7

A lot of people if not everyone often asked if ghosts are real… and, if they are, what do they want and what are they doing here? I have first-hand experience with ghosts, as do many of my clients. Ghosts come in a few flavors and can create anything from annoyance to terror. But let’s be clear on one thing from the start: ghosts of any kind cannot actually hurt you! So while it is often frightening to see or be around ghostly beings, they can’t possess you (without your permission) or do any other scary thing that horror movies or ghost stories might suggest.

Types of Ghosts

There are three main types of ghosts. They represent a progression of stuck energy, and, ironically, the more stuck they are, the more powerful they get. Let’s take a look.

 • Earthbound Spirits: These are souls who have transitioned but for some reason haven’t moved on. Either they are confused about actually being dead, which happens when people die suddenly or in strange circumstances (freak accidents, murder, etc.), or they are still very attached to the living, specifically one person whose energy they drain. They are usually felt rather than seen. These are the spirits you can actually contact through a reading.

 • Ghosts: Once an earthbound spirit has been stuck for awhile, they become better at getting energy to sustain themselves and can actually learn to appear and move small amounts of energy. Often they will “outlive” the person they were attached to and so remain in a physical location. This explains hauntings associated with houses or public places. They are alive in the strange sense that their spirit is living in an astral realm. They will attach to anyone who has a similar enough vibration to them—i.e. anger or fear—but stay in the physical location once you leave. If you know you are going to a place with disturbed energy, you can take measures to protect yourself to help keep this from happening. Occasionally, there will be ghosts in sites of massacres or battlefields—any place where many people died in violent ways. These ghosts may re-enact the way they died, sort of like a hologram of history playing on a loop.

 • Poltergeists: There is quite a schism about what a poltergeist actually is. Some people say this phenomenon is created by the energy of a specific person, such as a teenager with lots of unexpressed angst, a mentally-ill person, or anyone who has suppressed emotions or limited abilities to express themselves. I have found this type of disturbance to be rare, but it does happen. More common is the ghost who has become very adept at getting energy from its environment and moving energy around. This spirit will have been stuck a long time and will perhaps even have forgotten its divine origin or that it can move on to a different reality. Poltergeists of this nature will delight in creating mischief such as moving objects, hiding things, or making messes. All of this creates attention and energy for the ghost.

How Do I Make A Ghost Go Away?

Clients who come with ghosts in their lives usually want to make them go away! The universal first step is to “pray them out.” This doesn’t have to be a religious ritual, but it does require intentionality on your part. If you know who they are, then ask for an angel or their guides to escort them to their next level of experience. If you know what is unresolved between you, then try to address that issue. If you don’t know who your ghost is, you can still ask for an escort of divine beings to help them move on.

My client Sissy had moved into a new apartment in a recently renovated historic hotel. She and a few other tenants had been seeing the same ghost in the basement laundry room and were getting unnerved.

“She just looks so sad,” Sissy said. “I feel bad for her, stuck there in the basement!”

I had a look at the building during the psychic reading. I found that a few women had been killed there in a fire, and they had all worked in the hotel’s laundry facility. She was literally appearing where she felt most “at home.” The event had happened well over 100 years before, and so she was a full-fledged ghost. I gave Sissy a simple ritual to perform, which she did with two other tenants. Soon after, the woman was gone.

Another client, Jim, lived in an apartment that had been a boarding house before it was renovated into luxury flats. This ghost had progressed to the poltergeist stage and was fond of pouring dry goods like flour and sugar onto the countertops. It also liked to thump the walls and hide his wife’s earrings. When I looked at the energy, I found that the spirit had been inhabiting the location since the building before the boarding house, which meant that it had been stuck for over 400 years! I did an actual property clearing for Jim because this spirit was very well entrenched.

The important things to remember about ghosts is that they can’t hurt you, and they need help moving on so they can reincarnate and continue their soul’s journey. Some spirits you can clear yourself, and others you may need a psychic or other skilled person to clear for you. If you have a ghost, even one who seems friendly, they need your help!

Are Your Loved Ones Spirit’s Trying to Contact You?

7

Has one of your loved ones passed on to the other side? Do you miss them so much you ache to communicate with them?  And have you ever felt that you weren’t truly alone? Or, have you felt a light breeze that gave your chills? It’s possible  that a loved one is trying to reach out to you.

Here are some common signs that someone is trying to contact you:

  • Being visited in dreams: Spirits commonly contact the living dreams. They are hard to describe, but if you’ve had one, you definitely know it.
  • Feeling the spirit- Some people can actually feel that their loved one is near. It can be as vivid as feeling that something is gently nudging you. It may also be as subtle as sensing that someone is sitting next to you.
  • Feeling a touch-You may feel a gentle embrace, a light touch or your hair moving slightly.  If you feel a caress of reassurance, chances are good a loved one is reaching out to you.
  • Smelling something you associate with them. It is also not uncommon to actually smell your loved one. It is called clairgustance. It can be as subtle as a whiff of perfume
  • Hearing the sound of their voice.  You may hear the voice of your loved one, not just inside your head but as part of your day.  It may even seem that it they are speaking as if they are there in human forms.
  • Unexpected electrical events. – Your delay departed may have learned how to use energy and electricity to contact those on our plane of existence. It is actually very easy for them to manipulate electricity  by turning lights on and off or changing the channels on a radio or TV.
  • Music on the radio – You may hear songs that may have a connection to you and your loved one.  This could be the departed spirits trying to reach you.
  • A Phone Call –  It is no surprise that a spirit can simply use a phone to contact your. It is, after, all an electrical device.  This is more common within a few days of your loved one passing.
  • A sign or symbol. – Your dearly departed are anxious for you to know that they are still in your life.  Sometimes they will reach out to you with a sign or symbol. This may be a small item like a coin or stone.  It could also be an animal, like a bird or ladybug.  An unexpected flower or floral sign may also be a touch from beyond the grave.   The unexpected movement of an object, while potentially frightening, may also be your loved one saying hello.
  • Literally seeing the spirit. – If you see a loved one in the daylight, when you are awake, is actually very rare.  Very few people have ever actually seen their loved one reaching out to them.

The people in your life who have passed on want you to know they are still a presence in your life. If you keep an open mind and heart, they will find you.

Genuine & Legitimate Psychic Mediums List

Answers To Most Intriguing Life Questions

5

For everyone who still doesn’t know what a medium is.. It is a person who claims that they can sense things from the other side and talk to the dead. Now some of you may call bullshit already but I’ve done quite a few readings on books by mediums  and I found it quite astounding that most talk about the same key concepts.

So things that Edgar Cayce (a medium from the late 1800’s, early 1900’s) say coordinate things with what James Van Praagh (a medium from our century) has to say.

Ofcourse this isn’t something scientifically backed up, but it makes me believe in a life after death, I don’t know about you.

Here are popular questions and the key concept behind them.

Is there a God?

  • Yes, God is this pure loving energy form. It’s NOT something separate, NOT something that other people worship, but it’s all of us, it’s what we strive to be a part of. As most mediums say “we are all God”

Is there Heaven/Hell?

  • The other side is a “Heaven”, it’s where there’s no unrest. There is no such thing as a hell though. People who have committed very bad deeds, don’t get punished by other forces, but their own negative vibe might punish themselves, as in all the negative thoughts and emotions will surround them and they’ll be unable to open up to the love and joy on the other side, the “heaven”. There are definitly a special type of spirit healers, sent to help them.

Can the dead hear me?

  • Yes, they can hear you all the time all your thoughts/feelings, even though you might not be able to hear them. Your loved ones maybe close to you as the air that surrounds you. They are not gone, they are just at another place.

What’s the point of life and all these hardships we face in it?

  • To learn and grow. It works like this: you are in this life for something, all the hardships you face is meant to help you learn from it. Souls come into the Earth to learn these lessons and when they leave the lessons they learn help them achieve a higher level of understanding. This higher level of understanding helps one become more closer to God and to become one with Him. So that terrible break-up you went through? Maybe to help you understand, independence and self-love. Souls come in and out of Earth many times (reincarnation). Each life time may help them learn a specific lesson.

Do we have soulmates?

  • Yes! But not in the way you think. Soul mates don’t have to be romantic lovers, they can be best friends, brother and sister, son and father. A soulmate is someone you feel a very special connection to.

Is there such a thing as fate and destiny?

  • Yeah there are things that are predetermined. Things like who you will marry, how many kids you’ll have, your career etc. However, it’s not set in stone, you have free will, and the power to change if you really wanted to.

I’m pretty sure you have plenty of more questions but that’s the main ones I got as of now. I recommend books by James Van Praagh or Concetta Bertoldi, basically go to the “New Age” section in your local library.

Maybe I’ll make another post, if this enlightened anyone at all. Feel free to send me any more questions you may have.

Well… this was interesting as fuck

Here are some more

Is there a devil?

  • Yes! There’s bad as there is good. There are those creatures who haven’t seen the light, who are too afraid of the love and joy, because they fear rejection, they fear being punished, they don’t know that the other side and god loves all and accepts all. There are things of pure evil, but I think there’s more good than bad in the world.

What happens to those who commit suicide?

  • Those who commit suicide, have troubled themselves because remember how you are supposed to come into this life to learn something new and take that with you? They’ve cut themselves off from this, and they’ve caused others much grief, and may have ruined others life plans (maybe they were supposed to be someone else’s wife or husband, and now that wife/husband can’t learn their lesson). They won’t go to hell, like I said before their own negative thoughts will hurt them. God/the other side, will always love them and are willing to accept them with open arms, they just have to learn to forgive themselves first. They maybe stuck in a limbo position, until that stage.

What about abortions/miscarriages?

  • From what I’ve read usually things like that are pre-determined. If a baby is supposed to be here for a short time, the soul of that baby usually already knows. James Van Praagh describes says sometimes some souls, can learn the lesson they were supposed to in the womb. What that lesson is, I have no idea.

GHOSTS; Do They Really Exist

7

It wasn’t until the past decade where ghost hunting became a widespread interest around the world and despite the modern civilization.. many are still looking for them.. afraid of them and believing that they exist but do they?

Actually, much of this phenomena if you may call it is due to Syfy cable TV’s hit series “Ghost Hunters,” now in its 10th season of not finding good evidence for ghosts. The show spawned several spin-offs, including “Ghost Hunters International” and “Ghost Hunters Academy,” and it’s not hard to see why the show is so popular: the premise is that anyone can look for ghosts. The two original stars were ordinary guys (plumbers, in fact) who decided to look for evidence of spirits. Their message: You don’t need to be an egghead scientist, or even have any training in science or investigation. All you need is some free time, a dark place and maybe a few gadgets from an electronics store. If you look long enough, any unexplained light or noise might be evidence of ghosts.

The idea that the dead remain with us in spirit is an ancient one, and one that offers many people comfort; who doesn’t want to believe that our beloved but deceased family members aren’t looking out for us, or with us in our times of need? Most people believe in ghosts because of personal experience; they have seen or sensed some unexplained presence.

Personal experience is one thing, but scientific evidence is another matter. Part of the difficulty in investigating ghosts is that there is not one universally agreed-upon definition of what a ghost is. Some believe that they are spirits of the dead who for whatever reason get “lost” on their way to The Other Side; others claim that ghosts are instead telepathic entities projected into the world from our minds.

Still others create their own special categories for different types of ghosts, such as poltergeists, residual hauntings, intelligent spirits and shadow people. Of course, it’s all made up, like speculating on the different races of fairies or dragons: there are as many types of ghosts as you want there to be.

There are many contradictions inherent in ideas about ghosts. For example, are ghosts material or not? Either they can move through solid objects without disturbing them, or they can slam doors shut and throw objects across the room. Logically and physically, it’s one or the other. If ghosts are human souls, why do they appear clothed and with (presumably soulless) inanimate objects like hats, canes and dresses — not to mention the many reports of ghost trains, cars and carriages?

If ghosts are the spirits of those whose deaths were unavenged, why are there unsolved murders, since ghosts are said to communicate with psychic mediums, and should be able to identify their killers for the police. And so on; just about any claim about ghosts raises logical reasons to doubt it.

Ghost hunters use many creative (and dubious) methods to detect the spirits’ presences, often including psychics. Virtually all ghost hunters claim to be scientific, and most give that appearance because they use high-tech scientific equipment such as Geiger counters, electromagnetic field (EMF) detectors, ion detectors, infrared cameras and sensitive microphones. Yet none of this equipment has ever been shown to actually detect ghosts.

Other people take exactly the opposite approach, claiming that the reason that ghosts haven’t been proven to exist is that we simply don’t have the right technology to find or detect the spirit world. But this, too, can’t be correct: Either ghosts exist and appear in our ordinary physical world (and can therefore be detected and recorded in photographs, film, video and audio recordings), or they don’t. If ghosts exist and can be scientifically detected or recorded, then we should find hard evidence of that — yet we don’t. If ghosts exist and cannot be scientifically detected or recorded, then all the photos, videos and other recordings claimed to be evidence of ghosts cannot be ghosts. With so many basic contradictory theories — and so little science brought to bear on the topic — it’s not surprising that despite the efforts of thousands of ghost hunters on television and elsewhere for decades, not a single piece of hard evidence of ghosts has been found.

Many people believe that support for the existence of ghosts can be found in no less a hard science than modern physics. It is widely claimed that Albert Einstein suggested a scientific basis for the reality of ghosts; if energy cannot be created or destroyed but only change form, what happens to our body’s energy when we die? Could that somehow be manifested as a ghost

The answer is very simple, and not at all mysterious. After a person dies, the energy in his or her body goes where all organisms’ energy goes after death: into the environment. The energy is released in the form of heat, and transferred into the animals that eat us (i.e., wild animals if we are left unburied, or worms and bacteria if we are interred), and the plants that absorb us. There is no bodily “energy” that survives death to be detected with popular ghost-hunting devices.

While amateur ghost hunters like to imagine themselves on the cutting edge of ghost research, they are really engaging in what folklorists call ostension, or legend tripping. It’s basically a form of playacting in which people “act out” a legend, often involving ghosts or supernatural elements. In his book “Aliens, Ghosts, and Cults: Legends We Live” (University Press of Mississippi, 2003) folklorist Bill Ellis points out that ghost hunters themselves often take the search seriously and “venture out to challenge supernatural beings, confront them in consciously dramatized form, then return to safety. … The stated purpose of such activities is not entertainment but a sincere effort to test and define boundaries of the ‘real’ world.'”

If ghosts are real, and are some sort of as-yet-unknown energy or entity, then their existence will (like all other scientific discoveries) be verified by scientists through controlled experiments — not by weekend ghost hunters wandering around abandoned houses in the dark late at night with cameras and flashlights.

In the end (and despite mountains of ambiguous photos, sounds and videos), the evidence for ghosts is no better today than it was a year ago, a decade ago or a century ago. There are two possible reasons for the failure of ghost hunters to find good evidence. The first is that ghosts don’t exist, and that reports of ghosts can be explained by psychology, misperceptions, mistakes and hoaxes. The second option is that ghosts do exist, but that ghost hunters are simply incompetent. Ultimately, ghost hunting is not about the evidence (if it was, the search would have been abandoned long ago). Instead, it’s about having fun with friends, telling stories, and the enjoyment of pretending to be searching the edge of the unknown. After all, everyone loves a good ghost story.

Loving Your Dearly Departed

As strange as it sounds, you may be able to keep in touch with a loved one after they have a passed on.  It may even be initiated by the dearly departed.   Your loved one may have a reason for trying to reach you.

Psychics have reported that clients have said that they feel the presence of a loved one.  The clients feel that their loved one is in trouble or feeling some kind of distress.

On the contrary, those who have passed over have several reasons for reaching out.  They simply want to reach out to you, knowing that you miss them, and they just want to reassure you that they are still with you.

They may also want to alleviate your worry about them.   When we lose someone, we tend to worry about words unsaid and other unfinished business. They may send you a sign, such as the scent of favorite flower.  You may also notice that a number or symbol appears with frequency.   This is your loved one reaching out to you.

If you haven’t received a sign, that fine.  They are still safe. They may not be able to reach out yet. They may need some time to adjust to their new plane of existence  just as you need to adjust to your loss.

Why do we have this need to hear from our loved one? Because we want to know if they have arrived safely and that they are getting along well.  When we know they are safe and happy. Once we have received  this knowledge we can relax.  Our family knows this about us and want us to live our best lives without them.

Our family in heaven wish us to know that they want to comfort us. As spiritual beings our bodies are only one facet of us.  The soul goes on forever. When our loved one sees our troubles and turmoil, they want us to feel supported when we are alone and missing them and when our lives are going through changes.

Psychics have reported that spirits will talk about significant events that they have observed. This may be surprising to us on this plane of existence because we haven’t told anyone about this.

This communication is simply a way for the departed to tell us that they love us and are always with us. We should be comforted and encouraged to know that we are not alone.

Helping a Spirit to Cross Over

5

Walk into the light

When someone dies, their spirit crosses over to the other side. Sometimes, however, the spirit does not crossover. They put themselves in some kind of limbo between this world and the next. Each spirit has its own reasons for lingering.  Often it is because they feel that they have unfinished business. This lost spirit will occupy their homes, or the space where they died or even follow the people they love. Generally speaking, most spirits are benign. Evil spirits are rare and require special intervention.

Is it possible to help a benign spirit crossover? Yes.

Untimely Death

If someone dies suddenly, their spirit may not be ready to let go. Maybe the aforementioned unfinished business is keeping them tethered to this world.  They may need to get a message to someone or see a loved one last time before they find themselves in a place from where they can’t communicate.

If this is the reason your  spirit is lingering, you need to help them have their final say.  If you do not have the ability to confidently retrieve this message yourself, contact a trustworthy medium for help.  If you want to try meditation to raise your intuitive energy and channel the message, you can. If the message is important, the spirit may not want to wait. Usually, once they are heard, the spirit will cross over.

suicideDeath by Suicide

A person who feels desperate, lost and alone, they may take their own life. This type of spirit might feel guilt and regret. They may feel shame and unworthy.  This intense feeling of sadness will cause the spirit to remain on this side seeking forgiveness and understanding.  If this is the kind of spirit around you.  Do the best you can to send them understanding and a sense of forgiveness and let them know  that they can move on.

Once they feel forgiven they will cross over.

Murderers

Sometimes spirits  stay on this side because they are afraid that they can’t face their final judgement. They think their actions are so unforgivable that they will go to hell.  When this type of spirit lingers, their anger at themselves and subsequent guilt will change their energy to dark and negative.  This can directly affect you by scaring you. This type  of spirit should be handled by an experienced medium.  A medium will have some experience with self-defense to protect themselves.

If you have experience in working with helping spirits cross over, and you encounter this type of energy, you will need to make contact as soon as you can. Try and get a member  of their family to verify the information and help you better understand the messages.

mediumIf you are a medium and are called in to help cross over a spirit, the first thing you want to do is make contact with them. It’s helpful if you have a member of their family present who can help you verify what the spirit is telling you.

After they have communicated, a spirit will usually let go and move on to the other side.

If you come into contact with a spirit who absolutely will not crossover, ask for help. the Archangel Michael can be called on to assist by helping the spirit to crossover or protect others from the spirit.

Bottom Line

You can talk to any spirit who has already crossed over.  You can talk to them out loud or by thinking and directing your energy to them.  Even if you don’t get a response , understand that they can hear you .
